May 22, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:56 am IST - VIJAYAWADA:

Moving over from the conventional manual method of issuing trade licences, the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) launched the process of issuing Dangerous and Offensive trade licences online for ensuring transparency and speedy delivery.

At a meeting, VMC Commissioner G. Veerapandian asked officials to educate outlet owners over the procedure to apply for licences online.

He said outlet owners can apply for licences online using smart phones, VMC circle offices and citizen charters.

Outlet owners should have to upload Aadhaar card, mobile numbers, postal address, latest property tax receipt and category and sub-category of the business conducted by them , said a press release.
