The Vijayawada Book Festival Society (VBFS) will organise the 27{+t}{+h}book festival at PWD Grounds on Bandar Road here from January 1 to 11.

Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, VBFS president B. Babjee said writer Acharya Rachapalem Chandrasekhar Reddy would inaugurate the festival.

Chief Secretary I.Y.R. Krishna Rao, Vijayawada MP Kesineni Srinivas (Nani), Irrigation Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, Vijayawada (Central) MLA Bonda Umamaheswara Rao and Mayor Koneru Sridhar would take part in the inaugural session, he said.
