Unidentified miscreants rob passengers in Guntur

Unidentified miscreants waylaid passengers on the Nandigama Road near Sattenapalli at mid night on Wednesday and robbed them of cash. According to Sattenapalli DSP Madhusudana Rao, the miscreants aged between 35 and 40 years, pulled the branches of a tree, laid them on the road and blocked it.

Later, armed with a knife, they threatened the passengers travelling in an auto rickshaw and robbed them. Police said that one passenger complained that he had lost Rs.8,000 while another said that he was relieved of Rs.7,500.

Police formed special teams to nab the offenders. This is the third such incident reported during the last three months.
