Uma flays Congress

January 13, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 06:14 am IST - VIJAYAWADA:

The Congress which could not even secure the Presidential nod for the Ordinance on Polavaram project was trying to sling mud on the Telugu Desam Party, said Minister for Major Irrigation Devineni Umamaheswara Rao.

Reacting to the statement made by PCC president N. Raghuveera Reddy, who visited Thullur area on Monday, the Minister said that the Congress leader was using words that did not suit his office or stature. The TDP, with the help of the BJP, got the ordinance on Polavaram signed by the President.

Even on the issue of the capital, the Congress left it undecided, entrusting it to a panel. Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Japan and urged the country to invest in India.
