TVS Motor Company has launched a new version of its popular motorcycle TVS XL in the city on Monday. Company’s vice president (Utility Products) S. Vaidyanathan has unveiled the ‘TVS XL100 Comfort i-Touchstart’ a new variant with several advanced features including touch start, mobile charging and sync braking technology.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Vaidyanathan said the new variant offered a series of new-age features and promised better comfort through its compact and lightweight design and automatic gear. It is one of the most affordable two-wheelers available in the market, he said.
The vehicle comes with 99.7cc four-stroke engine with a maximum power of 3.20kW (4.3 bhp) and maximum torque 6.5 Nm.
With an ex-showroom price of ₹41, 234 the vehicle will be first launched in the State and then in other markets in a phased manner.
Currently, TVS XL series has five variants — XL100, XL100 Comfort, XL100 Heavy Duty, XL100 Heavy Duty i-Touchstart and the new variant.
