Traffic restrictions for Dasara fete

In view of heavy rush of pilgrims expected for Dasara celebrations, the police have imposed restrictions on movement of vehicles coming from and going towards different places, besides announcing diversions from October 13 to 22. The restrictions will be enforced from October 12 at 6 p.m. A good number of parking places have also been earmarked, according to a press release.

Heavy vehicles going towards Hyderabad from Chennai will be diverted at Ongole National highway (NH) and allow via Addanki, Dachepally, Miryalaguda and Narketpally at NH-65. Vehicles going towards Chennai from Hyderabad will be diverted at Narketpally at NH-65 and enter NH-16 to proceed towards Chennai.

Lorries going towards Kolkata from Hyderabad will be diverted at NH-65 at Suryapet and reach NH-16 at Rajahmundry via Khammam, Sattupally and Koyalagudem. Vehicles going towards Hyderabad from Kolkata will be diverted at NH-16 at Hanuman Junction and allowed via Nuzvid, Visannapet, Tiruvuru and Khammam.

Vehicles supplying essential commodities will enter the city from Ibrahimpatnam, Gollapudi, Y.V. Rao Estates, Singhnagar flyover, BRTS Road and Ramavarapadu Ring. Lorries going towards Hyderabad from Repalle and Tenali will be diverted at Tenali bypass at Mangalagiri.
