Tight security for Republic Day celebrations

Police forces took control of the IGMC Stadium where the first Republic Day celebrations of the State are slated to be held on Monday.

Police threw a security blanket at the venue and nearly 1,500 police personnel have been deployed. Six platoons of paramilitary forces, 14 DSPs, 35 CIs, 100 SIs, 152 head constables, 731 constables, 30 women constables and 332 home guards were engaged on bandobust duties. Senior officers including DGP, Additional DGPs, IGPs, DIGs and SPs are monitoring the security.
