Three teams constituted to trace missing girl

Needle of suspicion points to relative: SP

The Krishna police have constituted three teams to trace the 14-year-old minor girl, who was allegedly kidnapped by her 24-year-old relative belonging to Guntur district.

Speaking to newsmen here, Krishna District Superintendent of Police M. Ravindranath Babu said that the girl from Machilipatnam town had gone missing since June 24 night.

“The minor girl reportedly fell in love with the accused. The security of the girl is a cause for concern as she could not be traced till date. The girl’s parents have lodged a complaint. A kidnap case has been registered against the accused and investigation is on,” said Mr. Ravindranath Babu.

Reward announced

“Parents of the accused have been taken into custody. The three teams including, Information and Technology, have intensified search, ” said Mr. Ravindranath Babu.

Police also announced a reward of ₹25,000 to those share the information on whereabouts of the accused through phone number 9440796405.
