The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) would release its election manifesto in the next two days.
The manifesto committee headed by TDP Politburo member and Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishudu would meet on Wednesday to finalise the manifesto for the general elections. The draft report would be submitted to party supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu who would fine-tune and release it.
The committee has been studying various issues that can be incorporated in the manifesto. The industries that generate employment in rural areas need to be encouraged and given a boost in the coming years. While a major portion would be mere makeover of the 2014 promises and schemes, the committee plans to introduce a scheme for the farming community, a sizeable chunk of population in the State. It focused its attention on the primary sector and there is a view that priority should be given to agro-industries.
