Though the seats allocation under general and other categories were made on Friday, officials have kept the allocation under sports category on hold with Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) raising doubts over some fake certificates.
Certificate verification
As many as 1,114 seats are offered under sports category in university and private colleges and 272 candidates had got their certificates verified under this category.
“SAAP officials asked us to hold the seat allocation and said they would check and certify genuine candidates in 15 days. Candidates need not worry about seat allocation as it would be under second phase based on merit list,” said Eamcet Camp Officer K. Raghunath.
