SCR customer facilitation fortnight from May 26

The Vijayawada Division of South Central Railway will observe passenger and customer facilitation fortnight from May 26 for laying a renewed thrust on improvement of passenger amenities at railway stations and other premises thereof.

According to a press release by DRM Ashok Kumar, Minister of Railways Suresh Prabhu has, during a conference with the Railway Board Chairman, Railway Board Members, all the 16 GMs and 67 DRMs on Friday, resolved to give top priority to customer care, accordingly get in touch with passengers for achieving the goal.

During the fortnight, the Railway Board will sign MoU with PSUs for one, three and five years assigning them to identified stations for up-grading passenger amenities. Road shows and interactions will also be held at stations.
