The science exhibition, organised by Amali English Medium High School, was not only a thought -provoking event but also a platform to showcase the innate talent of the students.

In the expo that featured over 100 exhibits in science from students from kindergarten to Class X, they let their imagination fly by creating working models on subjects such as conversion of steam energy to electrical energy, conversion of sound into waves, gobar gas, identification of pure water, hydro electric power, preparation of detergent powder and cold cream. The students also produced models on circulation of blood, kidneys, liver and on pollution.

The expo also had exhibits from other subjects like Mathematics, Hindi, Telugu, English, computers and on current affairs. “The students of Class VIII, IX and X came out with various types of geometrical figures, puzzles, Vedic maths and geo boardroom,” said G. Srinivasan, mathematics teacher.

“We called for exhibits one month in advance and the students spent about a week in preparing their working models and some of them were extraordinary,” said Sailaja, science teacher. School principal Mary Mazzarello said that the school was organising such expos regularly to bring to fore the hidden talent of the students. “This sort of expos will give the students the much-needed confidence to express their opinions”. Former corporator of Muthyalampadu Yadala Srinivasa Rao inaugurated the fair.
