Sarpanch killed in road accident

Kosana Madhusudana Rao, 45 years, vice president of AP Sarpanches Association and Kakumanu sarpanch, was killed in a road accident at Budampadu on the GBC Road in Guntur in the early hours of Thursday.

Police said that an unidentified vehicle hit the auto in which Mr. Rao was travelling. The auto driver, Subba Rao, who was seriously injured, was being treated at the GGH, Guntur.

Mr. Rao, had come to Guntur from Hyderabad in a bus. After waiting for his car, he took an auto to go to his native village, Kakumanu. Police shifted the body to the GGH mortuary.
