RTC to send drivers’ phone no. to passengers

Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) has started sending the driver-cum-conductor’s cell phone number through SMSes to passengers travelling in long distance buses. This service was launched in the State on Thursday.

Under the service, passengers holding advance reservation ticket would get an SMS of the drivers mobile number soon after the bus commences its journey from the origin point.

This would enable the passengers to contact the bus driver-cum-conductor, if need be to know the location of the bus, expected arrival of bus at different boarding points, said a press release.
