Divisional Railway Manager Pradeep Kumar gave away the Raj Bhasha awards at a function organised by Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC) at the Railway Institute here on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Pradeed Kumar said Hindi language facilitated national integration and asserted that it was being implemented strictly in all Central government offices in the city.
The awardees included Vijayawada Railway Division Raj Bhasha officer S. Chiranjeevi and All India Radio Station Director M. Krishna Kumari for their efforts in implementing the language in the respective departments.
Vijayawada Railway Division also won the Acharya Raghuvir Rolling Shield for best implementation of Hindi languages in its departments last year.
