Prohibitory orders at exam centres

The city police will impose Section 144 of IPC to ensure peaceful conduct of Village Revenue Officer and Village Revenue Assistant examinations scheduled to be held on Sunday (February 19).

Section.144 (2) will be clamped at all the 101 examination centres in the city on Sunday. Under the section, more than five persons (in group) should not assemble within 250 metres of the examination centre.

Unlawful assembly, carrying sticks, stones, lethal weapons, and explosives will be strictly prohibited. All Internet centres and photocopy shops located near the examination centres should be closed.

Severe action would be taken as per law against persons who violate the orders. Candidates appearing for the examinations were requested to enter the examination halls 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination.
