The Photogenic Arts Circle organised an exhibition titled ‘Echoes of Time’ to mark the centenary celebrations of Dr. N. Bhagwan Das, former Chief Secretary of erstwhile united Andhra Pradesh.

Ajeya Kallam, Principal Adviser to the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, inaugurated the exhibition and after seeing the photographs, remarked that the photographs taken and developed by Bhagwan Das serve as an objective lesson to today’s photographers.

First academy

Born in 1919, Bhagwan Das set up the first photography academy in India. He ensured the construction of two District Museums in Guntur and Anantapur.
