Photo exhibition on Sachin in Vijayawada

Nalanda Degree College conducted a programme ‘Salute to Sachin’ to celebrate the master blaster Sachin Tendulkar’s Bharat Ratna award at the campus on Thursday. On the occasion a photo exhibition highlighting the cricketer’s achievements, career graph and personal life was organised. A quiz and elocution competition was also conducted for school and college students.

Inaugurating the photo exhibition the DSDO P. Ramakrishna said that Tendulkar should be the role for every young man, especially the budding cricketers.

Principal of the school M. Anuradha said that the cricketers name will be etched in the history of cricket forever.

Over 400 students from 70 colleges and 20 schools participated in the quiz competition. Former Indian Badminton player J.B.S. Vidyadhar Rao and Krishna District Cricket Association Joint Secretary Leela Ramprasad were also present.

sThe photo exhibition has been extended for two more days.

On the occasion S. Meghana a student of Nalanda Degree College who has been selected to lead the South Zone under-19 cricket team was congratulated.
