South Central Railway (SCR) officials inaugurated a selfie point with a portrait of Mahatma Gandhi and a national flag, in front of the railway station here on Wednesday.
Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) R. Dhananjayulu, Station Director Ch. Suresh and heads of various departments participated in the programme.
“We arranged the portrait of the Father of the Nation and the Tricolour, as a tribute to Pingali Venkayya, who designed it,” said a railway official.
“Everyday some thousands of passengers visit the railway station. Passengers can have a selfie at the point,” the official said.
The selfie point was arranged at the pickup point for the convenience of the commuters and for those who drop and pickup passengers, the railway authorities said.
