Next generation managers do not fear in dreaming about big things and achieving them. Most are prepared to take up challenges and prove a point and this was evident at the Andhra Loyola College’s two-day MANUS management and cultural festival that concluded on Friday.

Over 150 students from different colleges in and around Vijayawada participated in the event, which consisted of business quiz, young manager, paper presentation, woman entrepreneur, HR round, singing, dancing and Mr and Ms. Manus contests.

Rishab Kothari, a business management student from P.B. Siddhartha College, who won the Young Manager title, said he wanted to develop his father’s business.

He plans to establish the factory in six years and has already chalked out plans for raising capital and other aspects.

K. Praneeth of Andhra Loyola College, who won the Mr. Manus award, said he dreams to be an IAS officer. “My parents are not well educated but I want make it big. IAS is challenging and comes with a lot of responsibility but I am not afraid of the pressure. I want to clear the exam in first attempt,” said Praneeth.

The valedictory function of the event was conducted on Friday and students of P.B. Siddhartha College won the Manus trophy. Andhra Loyola College vice-principal Dr. A. Rex Angelo presented the trophy and addressed the gathering.
