After a year in office, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has sought to lay emphasis on cadre-leader relationship. The party felt that filling of nominated posts and constitution of party committees at various levels in the State was need of the hour.

“Keep the cadre in good humour. Unless the cadre is pleased, the party would not grow. Spare some time for them,” TDP president and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said.

Seeking to strike a chord with the party cadre, Mr. Naidu said the party would honour and recognise the services of cadre and leaders who toiled day and night to bring back the TDP to power.

“Exercise to constitute village, mandal, district committees etc needs to be completed. The elected representatives should identify the party workers who deserve to be given recognition, he said, adding “the dissent and dissatisfaction has to be at the lowest possible level.”

“I will strike a balance between the party and governance. An action plan is required to bridge the gap between cadre and leadership, if any. A review once in a month or so was also necessary, he said.
