Ministers drum up enthusiasm in deeksha across A.P.

Rallies and pledges marked the Nava Nirmana Deeksha (NND) across the State on Tuesday, with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu leading the proceedings at the Benz Circle in Vijayawada.

Despite the event in the State’s temporary capital having a moderate turnout, the Chief Minister did his best to keep the participants enthused by painting a bright future of the State which, he said, had born the brunt of politics played by the Congress, Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) and YSR Congress (YSRC).

Participating in the deeksha in Guntur, Agriculture Minister P. Pulla Rao called upon the people to support the State government in rebuilding the State, saying that Andhra Pradesh was in the cusp of making history. He also listed out various welfare programmes taken up by the government. The Minister, along with fellow Cabinet Minister Ravela Kishore Babu and district officials took part in a rally at the Police Parade Grounds.

Participating in the NND at Kakinada, Deputy Chief Minister and Home N. China Rajappa said the government was undeterred by the challenges that bifurcation has thrown at it. The government was committed to fulfil all the promises that were made at the time of elections and mobilise resources from the Centre.

In Kurnool, Deputy Chief Minister K.E. Krishnamurthy scoffed at UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, accusing her of dividing the Telugus and leaving Andhra Pradesh to fend for itself without a capital of its own.

In Nellore, refuting allegations over the construction of capital city around Amaravathi, Municipal Administration Minister P. Narayana asserted that building a world-class capital was part of the many measures being taken up to put the unjustly divided Andhra Pradesh in top position among all States in the country.

People from different walks of life, including teachers, students, lawyers and doctors took part in the deeksha at Ongole. Administering pledge at the DRRM High School,

Transport Minister Siddha Raghava Rao explained the relentless efforts being made by the TDP Government for development of the State and exhorted the people to contribute their mite for building of ‘Navya Andhra’.

Massive rallies were taken out in as part of the deeksha at Srikakulam. Labour Minister K. Atchan Naidu urged people to extend their cooperation for rebuilding of Andhra Pradesh which had lost its wealth due to bifurcation.

A large number of DWACRA women took part in NND at Chittoor expressing solidarity with Mr. Chandrababu Naidu's programme in Vijayawada.

Forest Minister Bojjala Gopalakrishna Reddy flagged off the rally from Municipal corporation office, which passed through the RTC junction, flyover and culminated at the PCR Circle in the city.
