Man held for duping bank customers

Police on Sunday arrested one Sk. Nagur Meeravali on the charge of duping several bank customers in Krishna, Prakasam, Kadapa, and Chittoor districts.

Introducing him as a bank officer to customers at eSeva centres, LIC offices, and banks, he enticed many with loan schemes on payment of some amount for facilitating the provcess. He asked customers to get duplicate copies of Aadhaar card, ration card, and voter ID card before escaping. A native of Pasivedala in West Godavari district, Meeravali was involved in seven cases. The CCS police recovered Rs. 1.47 lakh cash and a gold ‘nanutadu’ from the accused, said Police Commissioner A.B. Venkateswara Rao.
