The Central Crime Station (CCS) police arrested a former convict Md. Nafiz Khan alias Ajay on the chargeds of stealing cellphones from various places in the city.
He was a native of Kothapet.
The police team led by CCS Sub-inspector Hussain arrested Khan while he was trying to dispose off a stolen tab at NTR Complex, in Governorpet on Saturday.
Nafiz was involved in many mobile phone thefts earlier and cases were pending against him at One Town police station.
Khan underwent imprisonment on similar charges too, said the police.
