KLU declares engg. entrance exam results

Koneru Lakshmaiah University (KLU) vice-president K. Raja Hareen released the results of KLUEEE-2016 here on Tuesday.

In all, 18,500 students qualified in the examination, Mr. Hareen said.

Vice-Chancellor L.S.S. Reddy, at a press conference here, said that written and online tests were conducted across the country.

A student of Sri Chaitanya Junior College, Vijayawada, S.N.V.S. Krishna Prasanth, stood first with 146 marks out of 160, K.S. Venkata Ratna Rithvik of Narayana Junior College, Vijayawada, stood second with 142 marks, and M. R.V.V.S. Sai Teja of Sri Chaitanya Junior College, Hyderabad, stood third with 140 marks.

Pro Vice-Chancellor A.V.S Prasad said that counselling for students from Andhra Pradesh would be organised May 19 to 23.

Counselling will be conducted for students who secured ranks below 40,000, for those who qualified in the JEE advanced examination, and those who scored 95 per cent in the Intermediate course, in the morning session on the first day.

Students who secured ranks up to 2,000 in the KLUEEE are advised to attend the counselling session in the afternoon session the same day.

The KLU allotted five per cent seats for Telangana students and counselling will begin for them from June 1.

“The university will offer 100 per cent fee concession for students who secured 1-10 ranks in the KLUEEE, toppers in the JEE, Intermediate examination, and EAMCET,” said Dr. Prasad.

Mr. Hareen said that reservations would be followed as per government rules. Merit scholarship would be given to the eligible students, he added.

KLU Director (Admissions) P. Srinivas was present.
