Kanyakumari suicides linked back to city deaths

June 12, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:45 am IST - VIJAYAWADA:

The mysterious death of a man, a woman and her 10-year-old son, apparently the result of a suicide pact, in Kanyakumari last week, has been traced back to the death of two men, both TDP activists, in Krishna district. The man and woman, not related by marriage, hanged themselves in their hotel room in Kanyakumari, after administering poison to the child. U. Kalyani and Anil Kumar Chowdary were neighbours in Machavaram in Krishna district, and police are probing whether they were romantically linked. These suicides are now being linked back to the death of Kalyani’s husband Ummadi Srinivas Yadav, apparently of a cardiac arrest a few years ago, and that of a close associate of his, TDP urban secretary Padala Kanna, who died on May 25 in the Machavaram police station limits in the city.

The woman who hanged herself to death in a hote in Kanyakumari said to be the same woman wanted for questioning in the death of two TDP activists in Vijayawada
