TTD trust board chairman Putta Sudhakar Yadav has announced that ‘Kalyana Vedika’at the Vontimitta temple, the venue of the annual ‘Sitarama Kalyanam’ conducted during Sri Rama Navami, will be ready by next year.
During his inspection of the temple along with Joint Executive Officer Pola Bhaskar on Tuesday, Mr. Sudhakar Yadav said works worth ₹67 crore had been completed so far in this ancient temple and the TTD was ready to pump in another ₹30 crore towards its development on the lines of Bhadrachalam, as envisaged by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu post-bifurcation.
Multi-purpose project
Mr. Bhaskar announced that 20 more temporary toilets would come up in the temple vicinity and works would commence in four months.
“We are contemplating constructing a integrated multi-purpose project and all these works will commence after October,” he added.
Superintending Engineer Sri Ramulu and Venkateswarlu, Estates Officer Vijaya Saradhi, Divisional Forest Officer Phanikumar Naidu, Executive Engineer Jaganmohan Reddy and Deputy Executive Officer (General) Goutami, and Vigilance Guard Officer Ashok Kumar Goud were present.
