Endowments Minister Velampalli Srinivasa Rao on Monday said that the Jagan Mohan Reddy government wanted to encourage industrialists to set up units in the State with a promise to provide them full support for a transparent and corruption-free business here. He was addressing the inaugural session of the 10th edition of Apparels Manufacturers and Makers’ Association (AMMA) Garments Fair 2019 in city.

The Minister said such fairs would help big, medium and small dealers and traders from across the State to directly interact with top brand garment manufacturers and choose the latest fashion and trends. He said apparel businessmen could make the best of the opportunity in this festive season.

AMMA president G.V.S. Harischandra said Vijayawada city was the epicentre of clothing business.

Earlier, dealers and distributors had to visit manufacturers at different places across the country. But, the AMMA garment fair had made life easy for local dealers and distributors in the apparel business.

MLAs Kolusu Parthasarathy and Malladi Vishnu were also present at the inaugural. Association’s chief advisor Jayesh, secretary Venkat, joint secretary Leela Prasad, treasurer Nikhil and others were engaged in coordinating the event.
