Guntur govt. school students make their parents proud

Students of various schools in Guntur Municipal Corporation (GMC) have made their parents proud as many as 21 of them scored 10 out of 10 GPA in the SSC examinations the results of which were declared on Tuesday.

Appreciating the students, Municipal Commissioner Shrikesh B. Lathkar presented ₹10,000 as an incentive to each of the toppers. He also felicitated 11 teachers of the schools which achieved 100 %results. Mr. Shrikesh said that five students had secured 10 out of 10 GPA, while 21 students secured the highest grade, adding that special classes were held as part of the ‘Gnana Dhara’ programme.

The GMC also arranged for special study hours in mornings and evenings on every second Saturdayand the students attending to these classes were provided with snacks. Of the 958 students who wrote the SCC examinations, 850 came with flying colours, with a pass percentage of 88.7. Students who had undergone the advanced foundation course secured 100 % results.
