Krishna District Collector B. Lakshmikantham on Monday said that a new Girijan Bhavan will soon come up in Machilipatnam as no suitable land was found to locate it in Vijayawada.

It will be set up in one acre of land in the district headquarters town.

Addressing the officials, Mr. Lakshmikantham has directed to the revenue authorities to select three acres of land in Mylavaram mandal to set up the Tribal Youth Training Centre.

Mr. Lakshmikantham constituted a three-member panel to monitor the exercise of transfer of government employees.

Officials have been directed to register their job and other details before May 15 in order to speed up the process.

Officials from the District Rural Development Agency and Panchayat Raj were appointed in the panel.

Promises transparency

The District Collector has assured transparency in the transfers and asked the panel to ensure that those employees, who are working for more than five years at the present place of posting, must be transferred.
