Gandhiji Mahila Kalasala celebrates anniversary

While women are working shoulder to shoulder with men in many fields, they are outdoing men in many others, Tea Board Chairman M.G.V.K. Bhanu has said.

Participating in the 21st anniversary celebration of Gandhiji Mahila Kalasala here on Sunday, Mr. Bhanu said the old saying that there was a woman behind the success of every man would soon have to be recast.

He said those living on the banks of the Krishna and in the grace of goddess Kanakadurga were very fortunate, he said.

State Library Council chairman Turlapathi Kutumba Rao presided over the function. Former Minister Devineni Rajasekhar, former MP Chennupati Vidya, Uppuluri Mallikarjuna Sarma, former UDA chairman Kanchi Rama Rao, former MLA K. Subba Raju, former Deputy Mayor Samanthapudi Narasaraju, and former VMC Standing Committee chairman Javaddi Rudrayya participated.
