Four more from A.P. scale Mount Everest

Yet another batch of four youngsters from Andhra Pradesh, including two students, successfully completed their expedition by scaling Mount Everest in the early hours of Tuesday. (6.30 a.m. Beijing time).

The Everest conquerors are Mothukuri Dharma Teja from Sriramavaram village, Chenna Rao Gajavalli from T. Narsapuram village, both in West Godavari district, Eeswar Seelam from Davupalli village in Guntur district and Bodla Sagar, a native of Godabavalana village in Vizianagaram district.

The first two were trained and sponsored by the Youth Services Department and the latter by the Social Welfare Department of Andhra Pradesh Government.

On May 13, six persons from Andhra Pradesh created history by summitting Mount Everest, the first batch to scale the world’s highest peak this season. They were G. Suresh Babu of Kurnool district, V. Krishna Rao of Srikakulam and K. Durga Rao of East Godavari district, students trained and sponsored by the Social Welfare Department, while Bharat Thammineni of Kurnool, Nagaraju Sundarana and Satya Rao of Visakhapatnam received coaching from the Youth Services wing.

The teams were trained by Shekhar Babu.
