Senior executives of the Hyderabad-based Delite Software Technologies (DST) met District Collector Babu. A here on Saturday to discuss the modalities of an electronic system of payments under various government schemes.
Mr. Babu said that Krishna district had already won accolades for weeding out the fake beneficiaries of Public Distribution System (PDS) through Aadhar-enabled e-POS (electronic point of sale) system.
Distribution of pensions at the doorstep of beneficiaries was also taken up in the district through an inter-operable system of payment.
Under the Prime Minister Jan Dhan Yojana, as amny as 16 lakh bank accounts were opened, including 1.30 lakh in the first 12 days of launching of the scheme.
“Companies such as Delite will be helpful in improving efficiencies in delivery of welfare schemes at a time when people’s expectations have peaked,” Mr. Babu A. said.
District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) Project Director D. Chandrasekhar, Delite Software Technologies Senior Director Vijay Mani, Senior Managers Anurag Saxena and Sanjay Maheswari and company partner Akhilesh Varma were among those present on the occasion.
