The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) filed an affidavit before the National Green Tribunal (NGT) on Monday claiming that Environment Clearance had been accorded for the “Amaravati Capital City Development” on October 9.
The affidavit file in the National Green Tribunal on Monday suggested that “the SEIAA AP, MoEF & CC, Govt.of India has accorded Environment Clearance to the Amaravati Capital City Development.”
The affidavit merely quoted the number of the order issued by the SEIAA.
Instead of submitting a copy of the environment clearance, a letter written by the CRDA Commissioner to the Member Secretary, State Environmental Impact Assessment Authority, Hyderabad, stating that the CRDA had complied with the SEIAA’s request to issue advertisements to inform the public the Environment Clearance order number and date of issuing, was submitted to the NGT.
