Cong. calls for united effort to achieve SCS

October 14, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:53 am IST - VIJAYAWADA:

Vijayawada city Congress president and former MLA Malladi Vishnu said different political parties had different agendas for achieving SCS, but that was not serving the purpose. He called for a united effort by all the Opposition parties just like in Telangana where they had all come together to fight for the development of the State.

PCC spokesperson K. Sivaji said all non-TDP-BJP parties would unit and stage a protest during the Prime Minister’s visit for the foundation ceremony on October 22, on the issue. “We are ready to join hands with all for achieving SCS,” Mr. Sivaji said.

Mr. Malladi Vishnu and Mr. Sivaji were reacting to the statements of Rajya Sabha member AICC general secretary in-charge of AP and Telangana Digvijay Singh. Mr. Singh had said in Delhi that he fully supported Mr. Jagan’s Deeksha.

He had also said that there was no need for Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy to risk his life, and that achieving SCS was the responsibility of the entire Opposition.
