After the successful completion of Amaravati foundation ceremony, the State government is now focusing on commencing works at the earliest.
During a review meeting with the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) here on Tuesday, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu discussed plans of constructing seed access road design, which connects the seed capital area and the government complex area with Vijayawada and Guntur.
The Chief Minister directed the authorities to invite top ten architects from the country to design the government complex and shortlist top three among them. “There has to be a competition among the bidders,” Mr. Naidu said.
He said the new capital was replete with natural resources and they had to be put to the best use.
Emphasis should be laid on constructing wide rainwater drains in the capital to ensure safety and security of people in case of floods.
The ‘Justice City’ should be ranked among the best in the world and it should be equipped with High Court, NALSAR university, Lok Adalat, Arbitration centres. Supreme Court judges were keen on examining all these plans and all the blue prints should be ready before their visit, Mr. Naidu said.
The Centre had already sanctioned Rs.600 crore for constructing AIIMS at Mangalagiri and the area had to be developed into a medical hub. He said the package for endowments lands was on track and wanted the officials to examine and finalise the package plans for fertile and island lands, the CM stated, according to a press release.
