CM needs the help of allies: Gokaraju

October 20, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:50 am IST - VIJAYAWADA:

The BJP MP for Narsapuram, Gokaraju Gangaraju is enthusiastic about the Amaravati hoopla but he’d be happier if the Chandrababu Naidu Government worked closer with his party.

“Chandrababu Naidu has the vision, capability and persuasive skills required to accomplish a project of this scale. The Central Government is extending its support to the Amaravati project, but he has to work together with the BJP,” he said.

The MP said Mr Naidu has managed to pool nearly 33,000 acres of land for the capital city without much difficulty but with the BJP’s help he could create wonders.

“The capital city has tremendous potential and we all should make a concerted effort to realize the dream of a world-class capital city. Prime Minister Modi and Chandrababu Naidu need another tenure to complete the prestigious project which is of a long-term venture,” he said.

Describing construction of the capital city as a ‘golden opportunity’ for Andhra Pradesh, the Narsapuram MP exuded confidence that Amaravati would be a wonderful city that is bound to earn global recognition.
