Call to observe ‘Earth Hour' today

The Andhra Chamber of Commerce and Industry has appealed to the people of the city to observe the ‘Earth Hour' by stopping the use of power from 8.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. on Saturday.

Chamber president Muthavarapu Murali Krishna in a press release said arrangements have been made for a meeting in front of the Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium from 8.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. for observing the Earth Hour collectively.

He urged all citizens to stop use of power during the hour and even more. The theme of Earth Hour is 60+.

The chamber distributed pamphlets educating the public about global working and the difference that could be made if all worked together.

The pamphlet also had tips on power saving.
