Budding artistes steal the show at Tanisha Yuva Mahotsav-2013

Odissi, Bharatanatyam, Manipuri and Mohiniyattam were presented on the last day

On the second day of Tanisha Yuva Mahotsav-2013 here artists of the land, Kuchipudi – Usha Madhuri and Radhika – presented the inaugural concert. The dance numbers ranged from devotional to pangs of separation covering a gamut of human emotions in its content.

The promising talented dancers displayed remarkable exuberance both in footwork and expressions and vocal talents. Visakhapatnam-based Sri Sai Saketha’s solo performance was essayed well in presentation. Hyderabad’s M. Surendranath team – Sai Chandrika, Lasya Pranathi and Haripriya- left the connoisseurs’ in delight. This group of four performed Siva Tandavam. Pandit Bhismillah Khan Yiva Paraskaari Chinta Ravi Balakrishna and his team made their successful attempt at presenting their newly composed Raagas on Lord Ganesha.

Chinta Surya Prasash and P. Anjaneyulu lent support on Mrudangam and Violin for the live vocal concert.

The second day’s festival of the dance was dedicated to Kuchipudi Maestro Pasumarthi Venugopala Krishna and a special award on his name was presented to Natyacharya Vedantam Radhe Shyam. Akhila Bharata Kuchipudi Natyakala Mandali, Kuchipudi Secretary Pasumarthi Kesava Prasad told newsmen that performances such as Odissi, Bharatanatyam, Manipuri and Mohiniyattam were the key attraction on the last day of the festival on Sunday.
