The Department of Ayush spread awareness on swine flu infection and distributed free medicines to the participants at Happy Sunday on M.G. Road near Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation Stadium.
Apart from enjoying the colourful cultural performances, the participants had the opportunity to learn the precautionary measures to be taken to avoid swine flu infection.
The district unit of the Ayush Department explained the symptoms of swine flu and asked people to visit government hospitals without any hesitation.
Students of FITJEE college and Oxford School in the city took part in the event.
Artists belonging to the Department of Language and Culture presented folk arts and dances.
Dance performances by schoolchildren had the onlookers spellbound.
