Awards galore for Vijayawada Division

Vijayawada Division on Wednesday bagged 22 individual GM awards out of 102 in the South Central Railway’s 63rd Zonal level railway week regional function held at Secunderabad in which General Manager Vinod Kumar Yadav was the chief guest.

Five each in operating and engineering, three each in commercial and electrical, two in mechanical and one each in medical, signal telecommunication, security and safety departments took the honours.

Mr. Yadav presented the Zonal Level Efficiency Shields to divisions, departments and individual awards to the officers and staff in recognition of their meritorious service during the year 2017-18. Mr. J.V.R.K. Rajasekhar, Assistant. Commercial Manager, Vijayawada, Ms.. K.V.S.G. Nagalaxmi, Chief Commercial Inspector and Mr. D Viswanath Kumar, Train Ticket Inspector, bagged Individual GM Awards in the commercial department from Vijayawada Division.

In Group Award category, Mechanical Team from Rajahmundry, Operating Team from Krishnapatnam Port, Catering Section from Commercial Department bagged GM group Awards.

Zonal Efficiency Shields

Vijayawada Division bagged Zonal Efficiency Shields in best track, electrical, mechanical, finance and civil engineering and also shared the efficiency shields in innovation jointly with Secunderabad Division, Best Running Room with Nanded Division and Best Grievance Redressal Mechanism with Guntakal Division.
