Painting is a powerful medium through which our rich culture and traditions can be passed on to the next generations, said Joint Collector Gaurav Uppal, on Friday.
Addressing a meeting organised in connection with the inaugural of ‘Art Beat', a three-day art exhibition organised at Montessori auditorium by Spoorthi Creative Art School, Mr. Uppal said the participants of the event had done a commendable job of using their mind's eye to give shape to their inner most thoughts. He also lauded efforts of G. Srinivas, Director of the Art School, to encourage kids to hone their artistic skills. Over 1,000 paintings were displayed for public viewing. Ravi Sarada, principal of Paturi Nagabhushanam School of Library Science, lit the jyothi while natyacharya S. Ramesh Babu presided over the inaugural function.
Krishna District Youth Welfare Officer Velaga Joshi, SRR College lecturer Ella Ravi, Guide Foundation Director Murali Krishna and a host of others graced the occasion.
