APSPDCL sets up control rooms

The Southern Power Distribution Company of Andhra Pradesh has established nine cyclone control rooms at different locations across the State to attend any emergency situations that may arise due to the impact of Hudhud cyclone.

The control rooms are established at Chittoor, Nellore, Kadapa, Prakasham, Guntur, Vijayawada, Anantapur, Kurnool and APSPDCL registered office in Tirupati. Consumers are lodge complaints pertaining to power disruptions, electrical poles collapsing and other issues at the respective control rooms, said discom chairman and Managing Director H.Y. Dora in a statement here on Thursday.

Elaborate arrangements have been made to address emergency services arising due to the cyclone Hudhudand authorities are deployed at respective discom limits and consumers can lodge their complaints over mobile and landline phones, he added.
