AP signs MoUs for projects worth over Rs. 1,200 crore

The State government on Saturday signed MoUs with representatives of eight different business organisations interested in starting projects in the State.

These projects would bring in investments to the tune of over Rs. 1,200 crore, according to a statement released by the CMO.

After interacting with them, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said the proposed projects would be launched within a time frame.

He said the prospective investors could directly interact and sort out if they came across a problem. He said he would make sure that the single window clearance will work effectively to clear all possible hurdles in the way of implementation of the proposed projects.

The proposals include setting up of an amusement park and water world parks at Vijayawada, Tirupati and Visakhapatnam by Vijayawada-based LEPL Ventures Pvt. Ltd in association with Ms. PAN India Paryatan Pvt. Ltd., at an estimated cost of Rs. 800 crore.

The city-based Air Costa proposes to offer destination package tours within in Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and Tiruapti. The Fluer Hotels Pvt. Ltd. has come forward to promote hotels in Vijayawada and Tirupati.

Besides, four investor firms have been given provisional registration certificates for their proposed hotel projects. Saipriya Beach Resorts at Rushikonda in Visakhapatnam will set up a convention centre and a water park aligned with beach resort .

VSS Estates Pvt. Ltd. proposes to build star hotels in Vijayawada, Ms. Poli Suneeta proposed to develop wayside amenities in Kadapa while Bliss hotel has come up with an offer to build a five star hotel.

Meditation centres

A representative of Vipasana International Medication Centre also presented her proposal to set up meditation centres at Paderu, Lambasingi, and Chintapalli in Visakhapatnam.
