ALC’s commerce wing hogs limelight on sports day

The 61{+s}{+t}annual sports day of Andhra Loyola College was held on Saturday in which the Commerce Department went on to win the overall championship, according to J. V. Nagendra Prasad, college physical director. The Chemistry Department took the second spot.

He said events like 100m, 4x100m relay, 4x400m relay, 400m walk, musical chairs and tug of war were held for students and staff.

MP Kesineni Srinivas (Nani), who attended inaugural function as chief guest, hoisted the national flag and declared the meet open. He witnessed the ceremonial parade along with Fr. G.A.P. Kishore, principal, Andhra Loyola College. The attractive horse show was the highlight of the parade.

Fr. Rector D. Ravi Sekhar, Sports Director Fr. S. Raju were present. Physical Director Prasad presented the sports day report and highlighted the achievements of the students in various national and university events.
