The splendour of the Amaravati region and places of tourist interest in and around Vijayawada will be aesthetically captured on the celluloid for the first time after bifurcation, according to director Anil Kumar of the forthcoming Telugu film Akram made under the banner of Rajadhani Amavarati Movies, here on Friday.

Speaking to the mediapersons on the release of film’s first-look visuals, he said the Telugu film fraternity was avoiding making films in Andhra Pradesh after the State’s bifurcation. “This is a masala film in the backdrop of action crime and underworld. Vijayawada-born Medidhi Suresh is the hero of the film and he is portraying triple role as gangster, rock star and hero,” he pointed out.

He said the teaser and trailer of the film would be released in a week and 30% of the film was completed.
