AI flight cancelled, 70 passengers stranded at Vijayawada

Gannavaram airport officials, said the flight was scheduled to take off for New Delhi at 9 a.m. but due to technical glitch, the flight did not take off.

More than 70 passengers are stranded at Gannavaram Airport in Vijayawada following a technical glitch in the New Delhi-bound Air India flight on Sunday morning.

According to Gannavaram airport officials, the flight was scheduled to take off for New Delhi at 9 a.m. but due to technical glitch, the flight did not take off. Officials said the flight was cancelled. However, the airport authorities could not give the number and other details of the cancelled flight.

Meanwhile, passengers stranded at the airport have been demanding alternate arrangements. Airport authorities said that it was the responsibility of the airliners to make alternate arrangements but till afternoon no such arrangements were being done by the airliners.
