BJP State president and Visakhapatnam MP K. Haribabu said that he was thankful to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for extending the best possible financial package for A.P. Mr. Haribabu also thanked party national president Amit Shah and Union Ministers Arun Jaitley and M. Venkaiah Naidu for helping in the preparation of the package. He asserted that the package would help A.P. grow at par with other States and ensure all benefits of SCS, if not more. Mr. Haribabu stated in a press release that those who failed to protect the interests of the State during bifurcation had no moral right to criticise the BJP-led NDA government.
Mr. Haribabu appealed to the Prime Minister to take a decision at the earliest on establishment of a railway zone with Visakhapatnam as its headquarters.
