Koneru Lakshmaiah University releases admission notification for 2015-16

KLUEEE written test will be held on May 2, 2015; online test on May 16

Koneru Lakshmaiah University has announced its admission schedule for the academic year 2015-16. Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation (KLEF) president K. Satyanarayana released the notification for admissions into the university on Monday. The admissions would be made through KLU Engineering Entrance Examination-2015 (KLUEEE-2015).

Accordingly, the written test will be conducted on May 2 followed by online examination on May 16. Applications will be available online from November 20 this year and the last date for submitting applications is April 23, 2015, said Mr. Satyanarayana at a press conference here.

KLUEEE written test would be conducted in 40 centres across the country and online test would be held in 26 centres. About 40,000 students were expected to appear for the entrance test, said KLU vice-chancellor L.S.S. Reddy.

New courses

The KLEF president said that three new courses, Electrical and Computer Engineering and B.Tech (architecture) and five-year integrated law course, would be offered from the next academic year.

Admissions would be made for nine undergraduate, 23 post graduate and four MBA programs. In all, 2,500 B.Tech and about 1,000 PG and Ph.D seats were available in the university.

Ph.D entrance

Director (Admissions) P. Srinivas said the written test for research programs in M.Phil, M.Tech and Ph.D programs would be held on December 14 this year. For more details students could visit university’s website: www.kluniversity.in or contact the telephone numbers: 08645-246948/247031, he said.

Ten per cent seats would be allotted to EAMCET rankers and an equal number of seats would be filled with JEE (main) and JEE (advanced) rankers. Rule of reservation would be followed for sports, cultural and specially talented persons, Mr. Srinivas added.
