Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister N. Chinarajappa inaugurated Prisons and Correctional Services Department head office at Gulabithota area in the city on Monday.
He also opened the administrative block for Vijayawada District Jail on the jail premises at Gandhinagar.
Director-General (Prisons and Correctional Services) Ray Vinaya Ranjan, IGs M. Chandrashekar and B. Sunil Kumar, Vijayawada Joint Commissioner of Police P. Hari Kumar, Vijayawada Jail Superintendent Ch. Nityanandam and other officers were present.
